Bureau Veritas Appoints Wilbert as New Head for Nigerian Marine and Fuels Division

Bureau Veritas has appointed Daniel Wilbert as Managing Director of Inspectorate Marine Services Nigeria Limited and Country Manager for Fuels, signaling a major step to expand its footprint in Nigeria’s energy industry. The global certification firm said the move is part of efforts to align its services with ongoing reforms in the petroleum sector.

Wilbert, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), brings over 20 years of leadership experience across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. He previously served as Chief Financial Officer of Bureau Veritas Nigeria District, where he strengthened fiscal operations and supported business growth. His earlier career includes senior roles at Schlumberger and GVE Projects.

His track record covers finance transformation, regional operations management, and team leadership that delivered business turnarounds. Bureau Veritas said these strengths make him well-suited to lead its Nigerian marine and fuels operations into a new phase of innovation and efficiency.

With reforms reshaping downstream petroleum, the company emphasized that Wilbert will drive improved service delivery, stronger client engagement, and local capacity development to meet international quality and sustainability standards.
